A little bit of the orient at home

This site will cover all the trials and tribulations of building and maintaining a Koi pond and garden. Since it is my first forey into blogging, you will get a first hand look at the simplicity (or not) of the blogging world. I hope to cover the fish, including individual types of the japanese koi and the effort to provide them a nice place to live. I will also cover the garden: the plants, the layout, the additional things you can do to make a garden look and feel like an americanized version of the real thing. Hopefully this will lead you to undertake a project like this and build your own koi garden. I plan on adding pictures to give you a better feel of the garden and also update the site as the seasons turn.....
